Clinic for Infectious Diseases „Dr. Fran Mihaljević”, the employees (part II)

The World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April. It’s held to mark the founding of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO). 2020 marks the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife. Nurses and other health workers are at the forefront of COVID-19 response – providing high quality, respectful treatment and care, leading community dialogue to address fears and questions and, in some instances, collecting data for clinical studies. Quite simply, without nurses, there would be no response.

Now more then ever, the 630 employees of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases „Dr. Fran Mihaljević” have been sacrificing their health and private lives to keep the epidemic in Croatia under control. The joint effort of epidemiologists, nurses, kitchen and cleaning staff in these challenging times has been immense. Photographs were taken in 2018.
