Demolition of the north tower of the Zagreb Cathedral
With numerous buildings and houses damaged by the devastating earthquake in Zagreb three weeks ago, the cathedral was badly damaged. One tower collapsed and the other was so damaged that it had to be demolished. The north tower moved from its natural position by 12 to 15 centimeters. A number of damages were noted after experts and statists examined the cathedral, but the largest suffered a north tower that would be demolished. Demolition of the north tower is carried out with a controlled explosion of dynamite and takes place at 108 meters in height.
