Professor Alemka Markotić, director of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases „Dr. Fran Mihaljević” has been on the frontline of the battle against Covid 19 as part of the civil protection headquarters for the epidemic. Since the start of the Covid 19 epidemic in Croatia, prof Markotić and her team have been working restlessly on informing the public and working on preventive measures to reduce the number of infected cases. Clinic for Infectious Diseases “Dr. Fran Mihaljević” was established in 1893 in Zagreb and ever since has been the leading institution for infectious diseases in Croatia with a total of 630 employees.
